But no one tells you just how blindingly fast the first one will go. And how you won’t quite realize how fleeting these moments are until they only have a spot in your memory and we won’t be able to capture them.

Why a First Birthday Studio Session?
It’s a calm and relaxing place. Controlled- in a sense of less distractions. No wind or weather to disrupt the session. No overstimulating spaces or unpredictable lighting. Literally perfection create just for your session.
It’s a soft, neutral backdrop that lets them shine. I love the way indoor studio portraits look like natural lighting and the studio is top-notch for this!
No props required (unless you want them). I am a very minimalist photographer, I love wooden blocks or toys, but other than that I keep props to at minimal, however, if there is a special rocking chair, toy, etc., to your family I always suggest bringing that! Seriously, no chaos to manage, just a clean space and time carved out to celebrate the one thing that matters:
This exact version of your child, right now.
Their shy little smile.
The way they stand up and wobble, proud.
The way their face lights up when they hear your voice.
Studio sessions give us the space to slow down and notice the small things—without rushing, entertaining, or overstimulating.
This isn’t about a Pinterest-perfect setup, going over the top, or spending lots of money on things just for the session – It’s about a moment you’ll never get back.
